Dietary Curcumin Supplementation Enhanced Ammonia Nitrogen Stress Tolerance in Greater Amberjack (Seriola dumerili): Growth, Serum Biochemistry and Expression of Stress-Related Genes

This study was conducted to determine whether curcumin has a positive effect in greater amberjack (Seriola dumerili), especially the ammonia nitrogen stress tolerance ability. The results showed that recovery process of digestive enzymes amylase and trypsin, as well absorptive Na+/K+-ATPase, γ-GT CK, accelerated. Lysozyme activity increased fish fortified with both diets. Aspartate aminotransferase restriction activated at low level. However, alanine happened only 0.02% dietary curcumin. Facilitation lipid metabolism by very clear, triglyceride total cholesterol content basically maintained original level or even slight decrease after recovery. HSP70 HSP90 genes were not evidently stimulated express liver, kidney spleen tissues. In addition, its inhibition capacity on IL1β IFN-γ promoting TGF-β1. expression NF-κB1 decreased higher degree fed curcumin, while 0.01% accelerated pace C3 lgT stress. supplementation can enhance amberjack, application prospect be confirmed.
